“Happy Birthday!” I hope everyone has heard this at some point in life. Have you ever thought about how these two words are far more significance than a simple gesture? I know, I know, as we grow older celebrating another year old seems to lose its appeal. However, there is a deeper meaning in these two customary words than celebrating age.
By acknowledging someone’s Birthday, we are saying, “We are glad you are here.” It does not matter what your accomplishments or failures are in the world, whether you are rich or poor, have perfect health or not; there are no worldly expectations. It simply means, “Thanks for being here.” It is a purely human response to you for being a father, mother, brother, sister, family member, friend, or life partner.
